sorry, long day when i sent the original email. from the center of the keel to the first plank is also about 25 inches. 50 inches when you add the two side together, thats the problem as the plywood width is only 48 inches. the garboard measures more than 4 feet wide in places, more like 4' 2". This measurement includes the distance from the middle of the keel to having a 1/2 to 3/4 lap under the first plank. The plywood is 4 by 8. I was told the facotry was using 5 x 10 plywood. what do I do? Did the boat beam sp...

I believe you have me in your files. Phestigo tag with serial number 18515 and hull # M 02289 You thouight 1960 sea lancer - hull centerline lentgh is 17.5 feet.

due to complete bottom / garboard rot, I have no template to use for creating new garboards. Any help / tips with this? thank you Joe, you are right about the rib replacement. so, should the height of the rib after being attached be flush with the height of the inside keel board? That way the bottom plywood lies in contact with everything for fastening.

on my 1960 Thompson sea lancer - the inner T keelson had alot of rot. I removed it but could not completly trace a pattern. How much lower should the outisde boards of the T be from the height of the inside board of the T. If the ribs are 1/2 inch thick, then 1/2 inch lower? This is my first try at ...
