Excellent boat - good luck with it if you bring her home.

Dan, under the misc section I just posted a link to a boat for sale on e-bay - I think it may have the helm bases details you mention above.

Excellent - thanks for the break down - this helps a lot as I am looking at a spare prop and it has the same group and pitch as the one on the motor now.

I find alot on e-bay and such, but cant really determine (other than Spline Counts) what would fit and what the differences are....

PITA was on the list as well, as suggested by a friend. As was/is "College Fund" (10 year old daughter's suggestion), "Floater" (12 yr old son's bid), "The Bobby Lee" (brother's, who is a civil war nut), all the wood boat references ("wooden hole", "woddy...

What to name my boat

I continue to struggle with a name for my boat. Then someone said that it is bad luck to name a boat under 20 ft. Never hear that one, not sure I care anyway. Thoughts? Have you gents named your boats? Right now the front runner is "Hellcat" (a nod to my father whom flew Hellcats off the E...

John, thanks for the comment on the caulk. I've been looking at pumps for my Sea Lancer. The ones I found in my local marine shops were all basically the same. The one in my boat is perhaps three - four inches tall. It sits on the bottom and picks up water through slots in the pump housing, much lik...

John, given your subject and the experience you seem to have with sealing your boat up, thought I would bounce htis off od you. I'm working through my engine and hope to float my sea coaster in a few weeks. When I floated it for the first time a few weeks back it took on a fair amount of water in ju...

I'd be interested in seeing what the bracing looks like - I have a 100 hp merc on my NY Sea Lancer. I was considering bracing the transom myself.
