Re: my "new" boats arrived

Looks like a heavy load. Are you gonna slap some surge brakes on that trailer?

Re: Thompson History presentation

If you're using skype be sure to block incoming calls. I saw a bit on the news about that last week.

Good luck!

Re: Is this the Offshore model?

Looks nice. Did the boat have the windshield frame or did the boat shop make one from scratch?

Looks like they lined the inner walls with wood over the ribbing. Was that original to that model?

Thanks for sharing!

I go look at boats sometimes in the area even though I'm not in the market. Eastern Washington and North Idaho area. Glad to help out (seems to be a few people on here from the Seattle area).

I live in Eastern Washington and Idaho has these check stations. I've had to buy an invasive species sticker and stop for inspection to go boating in Idaho. They can detain and wash your boat (so can Washington but they don't have the check points yet). Really, if you don't have any debrise or invas...

Fastener Removal

I can get the nut off of the fastener and dig out most of the putty covering the head- no problems. My problem/fear is that when pushing the faster/head outboard it wants to splinter the exterior/skin of the plywood. Is that splintering something I should be worried about (skin deep only) or is that...

I'd like to find out more about the windshield assembly if you still have it. What's a good way to get in touch? Phone, email? Not sure how that works on a forum like this.

Thanks!

I think it was something about it being bad for the lake. Maybe it's certain type of treated wood they were talking about. It was a while ago so not sure.

I know you're the wood expert so I'm sure you know best

Later on!

I'm under the impression that treated wood shouldn't be used for bunks. That's what the boat trailer people told me when I had mine done. I'm not sure what they ended up using though. Boat lift sounds nice. Well, water front property sounds nice too I guess. Good luck!
