Joel, On my 58 sea lancer the trim piece is 1/2 by 1 1/8 inches. Each side is slightly beveled and rounded off. Hope this helps. Ernie

Darrell, I was not able to find the same type of masonite for my 58 sea lancer. I used marine mahog. plywood instead. (I added support below) It was a bit expensive but it looks great. Andreas, Along the starboard gunwale, the distance from the dashboard to the seat backrest is 31 5/8 " ( this is from the aft side of the dashboard to the forward side of the seat backrest) Make sense? Ernie

I had the same problem with my 58 sea lancer. My steering wheel has some hair-line cracks so I decided it was NOT worth breaking it. I left it on and worked around it. (Not what I wanted to do but it really was not that bad)
