Andreas:

The serial number on the builder's tag is 24164. Thanks for the info. I'll need that hull number when I go to register the boat in Ontario.

Hull Number Question

I have been unable to locate the hull number for my '63 Sea Coaster. Everything has been removed from the transom but there is no number. There is no indication that the transom has ever been replaced but I suppose that it is possible. I have, however, found the number 31621 hand-written in black ma...

Rotted and Partially Missing Ribs

I have removed the floor from my 63 Sea Coaster and found some rot in one side of the T keel piece and I will need to replace that. I also discovered some ribs that are rotted where they meet the keel and someone has previously removed some parts of other ribs as well. Can someone advise how to repa...

The boat is a Thompson Brothers of Peshtigo Wisconsin. It's a 16.5 foot Sea Coaster Deluxe built in 1963. Serial number is 24164 and I have searched high and low on the transom and elsewhere but have not been able to locate the hull number. I sure appreciate the offers of advice and I will keep you ...

Hi all. I just joined Dockside and it looks like a great site. I have purchased a 1963 Sea Coaster Deluxe made by Thompson Bros. Peshtigo Wisconsin. I found it on the French River in Northern Ontario Canada in solid shape but in need of serious refinishing and TLC. I'm a newb at wooden boats so I ex...
