Lake tested her today OMG what a difference, 1/3 the noise and 4x the power. Hit 32 on rough water, could ski behind this boat now. I never realized how tired the old 90 hp was.

Newer Power for Seacamper

I swapped out my old 90hp Johnson Metoer for a 1985 115hp Johnson with tilt and trim. Bolted right up and will launch tomorrow. I am really looking forward to the tilt and trim option . Wish me luck! http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/7470/d3s9579.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us http://img51.imagesh...

Let cure for several days and it is paintable. We remade keel cap and bedded in 5200. Both hulls were tight with no leaks. You will need to do sam...

I supported my 20' Seacamper by blocking under transom and hanging from the lifting ring. I used a safety jack under center but removed that for keel replacement. http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/2489/dscf5867jpg.jpg Remake your keel, its just a piece of wood, you can make it just a little wider s...

We are progressing quickly on this little boat. Our project received three coats of varnish to the side laps and was starting to gloss. http://img387.imageshack.us/img387/9288/1271054.jpg The next step was flipping the hull for bottom work. We decided to turn her over and put back on trailer for eas...

This is one way to correct this I believe, I have done this on one hull. Unscrew fasteners that go through garboard into ribs and also the next lap up depending upon size of hog. There is a screw at each lap and sometimes a screw between lap joint and keel, or possibly into sister keelson. I would r...

The bow sticking out from the sail boat mast looks like my Cruisers 202, thats a pair of Johnsons just below.
I have several boat show shots from Fort Worth in the late 50s, I will post.
Great Job Andreas!

The keelsons on this hull are probably permanently bent. We restored a smaller boat last year that had the same problem, we replaced the keelsons with double thick white oak and that removed most of the hog. I have always thought that you could add a layer of plywood to laps and fair in to cure this...
