factory picture from Peshtigo
Here is a picture from the early 1960s at the factory of Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co. In Peshtigo, WI. The guys are installing the steam bent ribs on the jig.

You better not leave the stripper chemicals on the surfaces long enuff to have an affect on the adhesive in the plywood. The adhesive is most likely resorcinol or phenol resorcinol. I don't see chemical strippers affecting it. But then again, who knows. Again, you should not leave the stripping agen...

I witnessed one running on a boat at a boat show a few years ago. It was smooth and very quite. I couldn't believe it was an old outboard motor!

I would clean out all the old gunk at the joint between the gardboard planks. Sand it clean. Refasten the screws from plywood into ribs and keelson. Try to get all the bits of old broken screws out (from keel). CPES everything. Bung the old screw holes from the keel. If you will resue the existing k...
