Jim,

It goes on the fourth white board below the shearstrake. Here's a
link to a photo of my '59 Coaster.

Ron,

I'm still a year away from painting, so hopefully I'll get over it by then.

Phil,

It didn't take you long to figure out pictures and license plates. Welcome to the board.

Looks like a great boat. Watch prices on outboards at ebay and Craig's List. You should be able to find what you want.

It was only in 1957 that those various colours were offered. And NO they were not pictured in the catalogs ... Thanks for the feedback Andreas. So it won't be showroom authentic, but there was nothing to stop a Thompson owner in the 1960's from repainting his boat with a different color. And since ...

Hull Color Questions

Andreas' article in the latest issue of The Thompson Dockside lists several colors that Thompson offered in the late 50's. He reports that the Lap-Chine models came in: Ice Blue Mist Green Dusty Rose Chartruese Salmon Lemonade I'm interested in painting my next boat in a different, but authentic Tho...

Great job Andreas.

Bobbi & I had a great time. Seeing all the awesome boats at the rally gave me the urge to get to work on my second boat. Hopefully I can get this one done the right way for 2008.

There was someone at the rally looking to build a windshield for a SeaCoaster.

Did anyone get contact information from him? This may be what he needs.

Andreas,

I missed your previous post.

Here is a shot of the inside transom of my 1959 SeaCoaster. Is that aluminum brace what you are looking for?

I recently purchased TomJ's boat, motor & trailer. He is moving and could not transport it cross-country. As far as the two areas of "sag" in the hull, I was considering purchasing a pair of household floor jacks (the kind used for leveling the floors of homes) and bracing them against...

Canvas Canopy

What products are recommended for cleaning of a canvas boat canopy?

Is there a preservative that is recommended for canvas?

John,

I recall the message you mention. I inquired at the time, but the logo badges were not for sale.

I believe ebay is the best place to look for the original badges. I've seen them there before.

I obtained my badges by buying a second boat.

Re: Rally?

Who's coming to the Rally in Aug? I'm undecided, more inclined to come without boat. John, I couldn't imagine hauling a boat from Texas. You can catch a ride with me & my wife if you leave your boat at home (and teach me how to run it). We are bringing our '59 SeaCoaster. A work in progress - I...
