Phill,
You're thinking along the same lines as I did. I"m very active in the old car hobby and the private contact I sent to Dan is a friend of mine in Chicago who is active in that hobby and should know where to direct him.

Thanks Andreas. That's great news to know there are drain holes fore to aft. I had read somewhere that Thompson started that in '63. I'm very glad to hear my '60 should have them. The one and only time I've had it on a lake, it leaked badly. Once it was back on the trailer I left it sit at an angle ...

Dan, My unrestored '60 Sea Coaster has flooring that appears to be off-white, while the storage shelf under the dash is tan.

Perhaps Andreas may know if the floor color was optional. Verne[/img]

That's a neat looking boat and certainly worth the price, but if you're set on having room for 6 people, I think you should find a bigger boat. Also, any boat that will comfortably handle 6 people will need more than 3' of water (unless you buy a pontoon boat). PS: That boat looks pretty original (i...

John, I have the very same boat as you do, but with a 50hp '58 Evinrude. My pin is in the same location; 3rd hole out. With 3 people in the boat, (maybe a total of 460lbs) mine registered 28mph and was level and very stable on plane. When I hit a wake at speed I also felt a hard slam under my feet b...

Well, I threatened to post something of my maiden voyage in my '60 SeaCoaster, so here goes. I flew out to ILL and picked up the boat and brought it to my friend's shop for some going-over first. Replaced the fuel pump diaphram to make sure it was modern for today's fuels. http://i83.photobucket.com...
