I just had the Coast Gaurd do a safety inspection on my 202. They never said a word about the steering system not complying. The boat past with flying colors. I got my new springs at home depot. Andeas, I saw the note you left for the Thompson on ebay in Illinois. I should have bid on that boat! I'm...

Andreas, Thanks for the reply. I'll go to the local metal dealer and buy stock and make two matching new ones. I recieved alot of nice coments on my boat at the Regatta from the other vintage boat owners. Most were local members of a national boat club and had Chris Crafts and Century Resorters and ...

I need a couple of parts for my Cruisers 202
I took my 202 to the local Regatta this weekend. Had a great time by the way, but I lost one of the aluminum srtips off the wooden side bumpers. I have no idea how it came off. It must have been loose and a wave tore it off. If anyone kmows where I can get one or both please let me know. Mike

I used Valspar Tractor and implement paint on mine. I've been using it for years on aluminum boats and have had great results with it. It's an oil base paint that you can add hardener to if you wish. It's tuff and stays nice for years. When I used on my wood boat I only used a little bit of hardener...

John, I had mine hanging from the lifting eye on the front deck and a stand built on the transom attached to the transom eyes. I had a problem with the front deck lifting eye. The lifting eye goes through the boat and attaches to the inner stem with two lags bolts. With the boat being old and the la...

John, I own several different boats. My fishing boat is a sixteen foot aluminum boat and I can tell you that it's ride alot harder than my 202. As for a fiberglass boat I haven't owned one for a while but I know they don't ride as rough as an aluminum boat. I would think that the extra peices that I...

Well I put the boat through a very rigorous test today. I had it out on the Ohio river with thirty mile an hour winds and two to three foot waves. I pounded the boat pretty hard off the waves and I was real happy with it's performance. I didn't notice any unusual floor movement from the extra blocks...
