Thompson Canoe

Post by JoeCB »

I came across a Thompson Hiawatha 17 ' Canoe at a barn sale today. Owner thinks that it'e 1930's vintage. Was the Hiawatha model built in certain years or simply a long running model line. Looks like a nice canoe I like the way the ribs overlay forming a smooth floor. Any information will be appreciated.

Greetings, I have what I believe is a 1942 Thompson Hiawatha canoe. Hoping to restore it this winter. Here is a page you might find of interest in trying to pin down what year it was made. http://www.wcha.org/dating-the-thompson-hiawatha/
