A few photos of the top of the line Thompson in 1963, rarely seen. I know of only one other. This boat was sold new in June 1964 with twin Johnson 75 motors and Balco trailer in Ventura, CA for $5500. Was converted to 120 HP OMC I/O in 1967 and I repowered with Volvo 145 HP in 2007. Purchased from original owner who had stored it for 26 years, got it floating and running within 24 hours of receipt on Valentine's Day, 2004. I have hauled it over 20,000 miles to cruise on rivers and lakes from Lake Powell to rivers Tennessee, Cumberland, Colorado, Ohio, Red, Brazos, and Clinch. It is fully equipped for long distance cruising, hot shower, running water to sink, head, fold down dining table, V berth, heater, swim platform, transom gate, auxiliary outboard, 39 gallon fuel, cockpit steps, complete canvas camper, GPS, stereo, liquor cabinet, library, siren, bow rail, taff rail, and custom made trailer to haul it. I am damn proud of it.

Lapstrakelouie,

Looks great! Must be fun on the water. You will have to think about bringing it to one of our Rally's in Marinette, WI., the next one should be in 2015.

Good Luck,

Phill

I have a 1962 version of this boat. Inboard/outboard right from the factory at Peshtigo. One of these days I will get back to working on it.

June 2015 is the next Thompson Antique & Classic Boat Rally - exact date yet to be determined.
