My friend recently acquired what I believe is a Thompson and I am hoping to get some information as to the year and the model. All I know at this point is that it is 13' 2" in length and the beam is 65". The hull id is 7C4720. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! If more information is required, please let me know.

Pete,

More info is needed seeing as Thompson used the same hull for many of there different models.
If you go to the main page on this site and click on "What Do I Have" and get all the information asked for there and post that info here along with a few pictures and the type of hull construction, we can most likely determine the model or at least narrow it down.

Good Luck,

Phill

Welcome aboard!

Is the hull construction wooden strip or plywood lapstrake?

Is there a manufacturer's metal tag with name and location of manufacturer and SERIAL NO.?

Photos are very helpful.

The hull construction is plywood lapstrake. Unfortunately I could not find a mfg tag, the previous owner had started to restore it and there wasn't anything in the boxes that he had. Here is a link to a few photos I took that hopefully will help with the identification.

HULL ID in one of the photos is "7C4720" which indicates 1957 model year.

I think this is a boat made by Cruisers, Inc. at Oconto, WI, not by Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co.

If more photos were available it will help determine it she is by Thompson or Cruisers.

If she is a boat by Cruisers, Inc., the 13'-2" centerline length is the MARINER model.

If she is a Thompson, the 13'-2" length indicates the SEA SKIFF model.

Thanks Andreas! Are there particular areas of the boat that I should take pictures of for you?
