Well I have kicked this around and talked alot and I think I am coming to a hard fought conclusion, I will sell my engine. This is my 1958/59 Mercury 78A. It came with the 18' cruiser inc. which I bought a year ago. I was told that it had been started every year prior to my purchase, but just not run long since the boat was not in operating condition. I am looking to bring this boat back to a daily use boat that I can enjoy with my family and I just think a more modern engine is going to suit me better. Plus I am a wood guy, not an engine guy. This is a great looking engine. So anybody interested? I am thinking of going to to the rally in WI and if there is some serious interest I might bring it with me. So anybody up for a little piece of history. I would concider a trade. And yes the controls come with it. Let me know if you want to discuss further.
