What do i have here?

Hello,
I just purchased a Thompson. First wood boat and first any boat. There is a plaque on the dash that says its a Peshtigo made boat serial #16157. The number stamped on the transom is L92807. The registration says it's a 1957, although from the transom # it would seem to be a 59. Is this correct? The capacity rating says it 1350 lbs and 70 hp. What model would that make it?
