Below Waterline Primer

Post by rusty »

Hello all.
I have a C202 1961 in great shape. I have just finished soaking her with CPES below the waterline and was wondering if any of you know what primer paint (if any) i should use before my the anti-fouling paint???

I have always used a sandable white primer under all paints. Interlux is what I usually use. It helps hide any blemishes and is a good even color to paint over. Roll/brush it on, it goes on thick and chalky looking, then sand and fill any blemishes, prime again, sand again then add final coats.I have used it above and below the water line with good results.
