Hello all! I dont even know if I'm in the right place, but saw Thompson, and thought I'd check it out. Heres a few shots of my 66 20 foot Chris Craft Corsair. I've been told it was built in the Finger Lakes Region of New York. Boat has had floors, and subframes replaced. I'm currently replacing both Windshields, as they were cracked when I got the Boat. Enjoy.
Any other questions, just ask.

Welcome aboard!

She looks like a Corasir Sea-V 20 ft. Transdrive made by Chris-Craft/Thompson.

There should be a hul ID stamped into the fiberglass just below the bow light, under the rub rail. It may also be below the rub rail on the starboard side just in front of the transom. The hull ID is important to decipher the model and year.

There may also be a metal plate inside the boat near the throttle which gives the manufacturer and location.

Thompson Boat Company of New York, Inc. at Cortland, NY was purchased by Chris-Craft in January 1962 and it became a wholly owned subsidiary. They made the Corsair line of fiberglass boats for Chris-Craft.

I have a 1966 Corsair 17'-6" Sport V outboard. Here's a link to some photos: http://thompsondockside.com/views/viewtopic.php?t=3319

Thanks for the greet, and reply Andreas. I do know the Hull Number, and what it is. I've been looking for a forum that would have similar boats in it.
What I AM looking for is a decent 225 Buick BLOCK, or whole engine, for that matter. I met a guy in another forum who sold me one, but one of the cylinders had such a bad rust pit in it, I had to trash the block. This after driving 400 miles one way to pick it up.

www.chris-craft.org has its Boat Buzz forum with a section devoted to fiberglass. This is another appropriate place to visit.
