I have a '50s Cruisers, model Mariner 100, which I am renovating and need to know the format of the original HIN (Hull ID Number). My # has gone and I need a number in order to register my boat in Ontario Canada. If I don't register I'm liable for a $200.00 fine, so registration is important.

Many thanks Lee Copland

Am I understanding you correctly and you want to make up a hull ID? Sounds like something ripe with fraud to me.

leec,

Take a close look on the backside of floorboards, decking, etc. The number that was scrawled in magic marker on just about every piece of my boat turned out to be the serial number on the nameplate (once I found it). If you are lucky, you may also find the tag from the initial boat order wired under the bow decking.
