This past weekend my brother stumbled into what could possibly be one of the top 3 barn finds since we began this hobby 1993. We didn't know the make of the boat before we had bought it, but once we got it outside the barn, we spotted the Thompson Bros. tag on the dash. Unfortunately, we have not been able to locate the Hull Numbers for the boat yet. Near as we can tell the boat is Pre-1946 as it doesn't have and HP tag and the ceder strips are all one piece. The boat is 15 1/2ft long has oar locks on the sides and no windshield. Any help in identifying this old girl ould be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jason

Looks like any number of the typical TVT hulls. There were dozens of models that used the TVT hull design over many decades.

TVT = Thompson V Type. It is not a model name.

Too bad someone painted the deck and covering boards and seats. Hopefully you can remove the paint.

Brochures for Thompson Boat et.al. are avilable for purchase on CD-ROM at www.wcha.org and www.dragonflycanoe.com

if you do your homework, the real score could be the tube radio sitting on the front deck!

cool boat.
