Started restoring this Thompson 6 months ago. I believe it is a 1961 Sea Lancer. It has a one piece windshield which is a little puzzling. Not a wood frame.

The brass plate says Thompson Boat Company of Cortland, NY. #57719 which is identical to the transom stamp right above it.

Does anyone have a template , drawing etc for the wood frame windshield?

Hull ID/serial # 57719 made by Thompson Boat Co. of New York, Inc. at Cortland, NY was shipped on 14 December 1959 to Buffalo Boats & Motors. It is a 17 foot deluxe with optional folding top.

This information came from the ledger books for shipments from Cortland that is archived at the Mariners' Museum in Newport News, VA. It is part of the Chris-Craft collection.

This would make it a 1960 model year boat. The 17 footer was the Sea Lancer with 17'-2" centerline length and 18'-3" gunwale length. Ventilating wooden framed windshield was standard.

Here are a couple of pics of the windshield frame for a 1960 or 1961 Cortland Sea Coaster. The Sea Lancer frame would look the same, just larger.

Thank you Andreas for the information. I guessIi will try to reverse engineer the windshield. It has a one piece glass curved windshield now.
