I hear those things work really well, I know quite a few guys on the mercury outpost forum use them.

That's good to know. My 1st choice as noted on my post on the Golden Meteor thread is to try to obtain the optional OEM power tilt mechanism. Barring that, I will go with this. With my physical issues, there's no way I can manhandle this big 100hp outboard.

Power lift for that engine, was very common, one unit fit engines from 1960 to 1968, 60,65,75,80, 85,90, and 100hp. I actually bought mine as NOS from my local dealer North Shore Marine in Houston 713 453 6314, 5 years ago.

Almost any old dealler should have one somewhere.

I called North Shore Marine yesterday. They quoted me a P/N for the OEM power tilt and a price ($355) They did not have one in stock, but are searching for one for me. Thank you for your help

Marget at North Shore is amazing, they have nos old parts, almost everthing you would need. Bought a 1973 6hp nos crakshaft for my granddaughters, 6 hp Johnson she rebuilt.

There is a tilt unit for you, they were very comon. Should be a lot of used ones around.

This may be it, check part number carefully, at one point sellers, says, 60,65,75,80,85, and 100 which are all 4 cyl, and then says he purchased it for 3 cyl 70 hp, most likey not the same unit.140473085962

It's new old stock on ebay 140473085962, has another 5 days or so.
